Hello, I’m Fikih Firmansyah 👋

I am a software engineer, business owner, and community leader based in Medan, Indonesia. With over four years of professional experience in software development, I am passionate about bridging the gap between complex architectural challenges and practical, impactful solutions.

💻 What I Do

I wear a few different hats in the tech industry:

Enterprise Systems: As a Lead Full-Stack Developer at the Information Systems Center (PSI) Universitas Sumatera Utara, I lead technical projects and standardize architectures—from creating custom Spring Boot starter libraries for observability to building comprehensive enterprise identity and access management (IAM) systems.

Entrepreneurship: I am the Founder and Owner of Agatha Projects, a software house dedicated to delivering high-quality digital solutions ranging from CRM platforms to specialized healthcare financial systems.

EdTech Innovation: I have a strong focus on educational technology, specifically leveraging Item Response Theory (IRT) and Computerized Adaptive Testing (CAT) algorithms to build smarter assessment platforms.

🛠️ My Tech Stack & Interests

My work is driven by a commitment to modern infrastructure and performance. I primarily build with:

Backend & Architecture: Java, Spring Boot, Go, gRPC, and Keycloak.

Frontend & Infrastructure: Svelte, Next.js, and heavy utilization of Cloudflare services.

AI & Cloud: As a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect and DevOps Engineer, I am highly engaged in cloud infrastructure. I also actively explore AI applications, including fine-tuning local Large Language Models (LLMs) with Ollama.

🤝 Community & Civic Tech

I believe in growing alongside the community. As an Organizer and Lead for Google Developer Group (GDG) Medan, I regularly organize events like DevFest, AI Study Jams, and Build with AI workshops to empower local developers. I am also deeply interested in the potential of open data and civic technology to drive positive change in Indonesia.

✍️ What to Expect from My Writing

I use Medium to document my technical journey, share deep dives into software architecture, and explore the intersection of AI, cloud computing, and community building. Whether it's a breakdown of implementing enterprise IAM, optimizing GPU VRAM for local AI inference, or reflections on running a tech community, I write to share practical, real-world insights.

Let's connect and build something great!
